When we arrived at the Madhurst Carnival it was raining hard. This is not entirely unusual for a Monday in August! Our first performance was a strolling set on our way to the show ground. Once we arrived at the show ground we had a marquee awaiting so we could play in the dry.

Inside the marquee, we were regaled with tea and cake to fuel us for our next trip outside. We were due to play another set around the show ground as a strolling band. Thankfully the rain stopped just in time for our final Madhurst Carnival strolling set.

The Madhurst Carnival weather had been severe but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and a fun day was had by all.
On Saturday 8th February 2014 at 11am it was Tangled Children and Chichester Jazz day! The strolling jazz band played for the opening of the Tangled Children’s Hair Salon and Party Venue in Southgate, Chichester (opposite the Globe Sports Pub). After the launch, the band made their way to Chichester City Centre and entertained the passers by until 1pm.
The “Tangled Children’s Hair Salon and Party Venue” is a brand new venture opening in Chichester. Curious? Make your way down to 5 Southdown Buildings, Southgate, Chichester PO19 8DQ on Saturday 8th February at 11 am. If you are held up in traffic, you may still catch the band strolling through Chichester to the city centre where the entertainment will be ongoing until 1pm. See our calendar for full details.
