Jazz Around Chichester

George’s Regis Jazz Band features prominently on the front cover of Jazz Around Chichester by Bob Crosby.

Jazz Around Chichester examines the history of live jazz music in the Chichester area from the early beginnings to the vibrant wealth of choice to be enjoyed every month around the pubs, restaurants and outside venues in the Chichester area today. Visit our calendar of live jazz music for details of events in Chichester and West Sussex.

Proceeds from the sale of the book are donated to St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Chichester.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice opened in 1987 and since then has cared for over 10,000 local people. At any one time, they care for around 210 people in the community and offer support to their families and friends. All of the services at St Wilfrid’s Hospice are provided free of charge. St Wilfrid’s is not a part of the NHS and relies on public support to raise 90% of their annual running costs of £4.8 million.

2014 is the band’s 25th anniversary and it is interesting that St Wilfrid’s Hospice has been running for more or less the same length of time. Just like the band, St Wilfrid’s is in great demand. You can help St Wilfrid’s continue to provide their excellent service by purchasing a copy of the book ‘Jazz Around Chichester’ for £10 plus postage.

You will enjoy the book and will be helping a very worth cause.
